After the last plugin update, I couldn’t access wp-admin. I deactivated the plugin and now I can. Activating it again causes the same issue. WordPress version 6.4.3. WooCommerce Stripe Gateway version 7.9.3.

  • Hey there, @dirvish42! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

What version of WooCommerce are you using?

It is possible another plugin or the theme is causing the conflict. Can you please run a conflict test to check?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and try to update Stripe. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

It could be a plugin, but I don’t think it’s a theme problem. The site still loads, just not wp-admin.

I tried deactivating all plugins except for woocommerce and it works now. Reactivating the other plugins did not reproduce the problem. ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

Sometimes the good and old “turn off and on again” is enough to solve the issue ??

From what I understand the site is working correctly now, right?

If the issue happens again, please let us know so we can continue to help you investigate it.

    Hi @dirvish42,

Thanks for confirming it’s all working fine now! Can you let us know if you’ve updated to 8.0.0? If you’re on the latest version now and it’s all working fine, we can mark this as resolved for now. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any more questions.

    All the best,
    Omar
