Unable to Export multiple tables

    Hi! I recently noticed I’m no longer able to Export multiple tables. The Select all and Create a ZIP archive checkboxes have gone missing. The following message appears instead:

    Note: Support for ZIP file creation seems not to be available on this server.

    I’m currently using WPEngine and they confirmed zip is indeed enabled on their end. So, they suggested I’d reach out. Btw, PHP version is on 8.2.14.

    Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

    Ok, that likely means that something on the site is using the?unzip_file_use_ziparchive?filter hook. (There is a bug in WordPress 6.4.3 for which one workaround is to use that filter hook. You might be seeing a plugin related to ZIP files in that case.)

    At this time, I can only suggest to temporarily deactivate that plugin. Otherwise, I will have a workaround in an upcoming release, probably in mid-March.

    Hi again! Small update.

    I ended up turning off all of the plug-ins and the message still appeared. I got curious and tried to roll back WP versions but the Rollback plug-in doesn’t seem to work on WPEngine. ??

    Hi,

    I then assume that WP-Engine maybe forcefully installed a plugin that sets this. I’m afraid that you’ll either have to wait until they turn this off (maybe once WordPress 6.5 is released) or until I publish the next version of TablePress (which should also be in March).

    Hi!

    Thanks for the update. WPEngine MU plug-ins didn’t look like they had anything dealing with ZIP but I can’t disable them anyways. ??

    Hello,

    I am currently on WP 6.5.3 and TablePress 2.3.2, with only a drop down menu to select one table export at a time. Should the ability to export more than one table at a time be there?

    Hi @aaronhunter,

    If you are only getting the option to export one table at a time, this means that PHP on your server is lacking the php-zip module (which provides PHP classes like ZipArchive).

    You might be able to activate that module in the PHP configuration of the hosting package configuration panel that your hosting company likely provides. Otherwise, you should ask the support team of your webhost to activate that module for PHP on the server.
