    Hello,

I’m working on first-time setup and building a database of creatives before inviting affiliates. I’m wondering if there’s a way to categorize the creatives by product so that it’s easier for affiliates to find what they’re looking for.

Maybe some sort of a filing system or navigation similar to the wordpress menu navigation. EG. Product Category>Product Name>Creatives, or even just Product Name>Creatives.

From what I can see so far all of the creatives are just sorted based on creation order.

Additionally, is there a setting to display the creative title so affiliates can see it?

Thanks for the help/feedback. It’s been a great setup experience.

    Hey @ontarioagra,

Thank you for reaching out! I’m afraid that we do not have this particular feature. We do have creative categories on our development log and I have added your request as a +1. However, at this time, I can’t say when this feature will be released.

Also, currently, the creative’s title cannot be displayed. We are considering adding this to the plugin as well, however, I can’t say when this change will be implemented.

I’m really sorry that I could not help you with more! We do have these changes on our radar and we will be looking into implementing them.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai

Thanks for the feedback, great to know it’s already on the list. I’ll take that as a sign that I’m thinking about things in a logical way.

Do you have any recommendations for how to arrange/setup creatives in a way that reduces the margin for error and confusion for affiliates? If there’s a blog or video for that on your site I can check that out as well.

    Thanks again!

    Hey @ontarioagra,

I’m afraid that I cannot guide you further. Creatives are displayed in inverse chronological order. You don’t yet have any other customization options.

Even so, can you please let me know how many creatives you have in total and how you’d like to organize them? Your feedback could help us better shape this feature.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai

    Hi Mihai,

My current breakdown for a product would include an asset for text/educational information that the affiliate would use for content, an image asset, and at least one call to action asset/value proposition.

If I use that setup for each product, and have 200 products on my site, the affiliate would need to scroll through at least 600 assets to find the ones they want for the products they’re promoting.

It would also be confusing because some products would have a “free Canada-wide shipping” call to action, but without an organization system or label the affiliate wouldn’t know what products that call to action can apply to. They also wouldn’t know which educational/text content applies to each image or product asset.

Is there a way to put written content, images, and a call to action all in one creative asset? That way an affiliate would see an image for the product they want to sell and can find all of the information needed in one spot?

    Hey @ontarioagra,

Thank you for providing this feedback! I’m afraid that our creatives section was not created with so many items in mind.

Also, we have yet to hear from other users about the need for so many creatives, so your feedback caught us a bit off guard. Even so, I’ve added your thoughts to our development log for future research.

I’m afraid that, at this time, I can’t say if we will be able to support such a large library, as the functionality from fewer creatives to so many can vary a lot. Nevertheless, we’ll be researching this.

In the meantime, I recommend using a plugin such as Document Library (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/document-library-lite/), which offers advanced functionality for file management. I believe that for your user case, this would work well.

Thank you once again for the feedback!

    Best wishes,

    Mihai

    Hi Mihai,

If I’m the only one requesting this then most likely I’m the problem and using it incorrectly. Do you have a screenshot or URL I can go to to see a sample of the affiliate creatives section set up the way it’s intended? I can model my build after one that is done the way you anticipated.

Thanks for the help, I’m at the beginning of this stage so I can easily change it now and get back on the right track.

    Hey @ontarioagra,

I don’t believe you’re the problem or that you’re using it incorrectly. You may just have other business needs than other users of our plugin.

I’m afraid that I cannot showcase any sample of affiliate creatives, neither from our users, due to privacy reasons, nor from us. We ourselves don’t even use creatives for SliceWP.

The creatives system is as you see it. You can add a creative, and it will show up for your affiliates in reverse chronological order. We know this system has its limitations and it may not be fit for everyone and this is why we’re looking into ways of improving it.

What I do recommend for you is to look into alternatives to our system, such as the Document Library plugin I’ve shared above, to offer your affiliates the resources that make most sense for your business’ needs.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
