    Hi ACF team,

Let me preface this message by saying I love your plugin, it’s an easy-to-use system for non-developers like me.

That being said this recent message let’s us all down a bit:

ACF now automatically escapes unsafe HTML when rendered by the ACF shortcode. We’ve detected the output of some of your fields has been modified by this change, but this may not be a breaking change.

I’ve read your documentation and your replies on these threads, and suddenly am feeling a bit lost. You’ve gone from supporting non-developers and providing a wonderful solution, to offering a developer-only solution, one that I cannot decipher (and clearly I am not the only one).

So… is there an easy to use flowchart a dummy non-developers (like myself) can follow to deal with this issue (still not even sure what the issue is).

    Example:
    1. Do you do this? If “yes”, do abc. If “no”, do xyz.
    2. Do you need that? If “yes”, etc etc

    Assistance would be highly appreciated.

    Hi there!

ACF Support Team here. This forum is generally used by ACF users to help each other out.

However, we would love to continue investigating and troubleshooting this issue, please can you create a ticket using our ?support form and we can look into it further.

Hey @ticubso — I’m seeing a lot of people with the same issues, in that the instructions aren’t super clear. as far as I’m aware there isn’t really a none developer way of fixing it so far.
I wrote up some of my findings/suggestions: https://guwii.com/fix-acf-pro-output-unfiltered-html/
If you managed to fix in a simpler way please let me know and I’ll update my article.

Thanks @wigster, but that is not a non-developer based article – it makes no sense to me at first glance, and I’d really have to sit down and try to figure it out.
