On my custom site, when the 2fa code is sent, the page redirects to a 502 error page. The 2fa email is still delivered and works for logging in, but it would be better if it had a popup that waited for you to click the link in email. IS there a way i can forward the wp-login.php page to a message saying to check email?

    Morning @jtalweezy,

You will have to check your server logs as a 502 error is usually a bad gateway error generated by the server.

When someone logs in, they will receive the following screen:

If you could paste your error logs here, I can help you diagnose the issue.

    Thanks,

    Morning @wpbackend,

With error #1, I believe there should be more to this error. Can you either paste it here or if it’s private, could you submit it to me via this encrypted form?

    Thanks,
    Sully

Apologies. I have not had much time to look at this. Are there specific logs I should be checking? Sorry for my ignorance, this is the first wordpress site I have ever setup. I’m familiar with IIS though. I still get a 502 and I’m wondering if it’s because my version of wordpress. It is running on a Synology DSM 7.

    Morning @jtalweezy,

Not to worry. In order for me to be able to diagnose any issue, I would need the error logs and/or server logs. A 502 usually spits out an error somewhere within the process.

I believe I have a website which I can access where is it also producing the 502 error, so I just need to diagnose this myself and hopefully I will have it rectified.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
    Sully
