I am considering purchasing the premium version of the B2B King plugin for my online store, but before making the investment, I would like to address a couple of issues I’m encountering with the free version of the plugin, particularly in combination with the Woodmart theme, and now also with the Twenty Twenty-Four theme.

    1. Inconsistent Display of Discounted Prices: My store is set up to display the discounted price as the sale price. However, I’ve noticed an inconsistency in how prices are displayed for B2B customers. For some products, the store shows both the original price and the discounted price for B2B users, while for other products, only the discounted price is displayed as the main price. This inconsistency occurs across both the Woodmart and Twenty Twenty-Four themes, and I’m seeking clarity on how to ensure a uniform display of pricing information for all products for B2B customers.
    2. B2B Discount vs. Regular Discounts: Another issue pertains to the discount rates. There are instances where some products are offered at a higher discount than what is assigned to B2B users, leading to situations where B2B customers end up paying more than regular customers. Ideally, the pricing for B2B customers should reflect a deduction of their assigned percentage from the normal price. However, if a product’s discount exceeds their B2B discount, they should benefit from the lower discounted price available to regular customers.

Could you please advise on how to resolve these issues? Are there specific settings or customizations within the B2B King plugin or the themes mentioned that I need to adjust to achieve consistent and fair pricing for B2B customers? Any guidance or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as I aim to ensure a seamless and equitable shopping experience for all my customers before committing to the premium version of your plugin.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

    Hi there,

    We’d be glad to assist,

    (1) I understand you’re saying some products are not showing the original price.

Are these a certain product type? What do they have in common? Certainly it wouldn’t be random, so there must be a commonality there.

It’s also important to check for conflicts. Often pricing runs into conflicts with other plugins: please try deactivating all other site plugins to check if the issue still occurs.

    (2) If I understand correctly, you are creating a dynamic discount rule while also having a sale price.

In the Pro version of the plugin it is possible to add the code snippet here: https://woocommerce-b2b-plugin.com/docs/code-snippets-library-list/#14-toc-title

This snippet will make discount rules not apply to products without a sale price.

I’m afraid this snippet would only work in the pro version at the moment though. It is not our intention to restrict this, but the 2 plugins use a somewhat different architecture for the rules, so it works differently.

Thank you very much for your prompt and detailed response. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

Regarding the first issue, I believe I have identified a pattern concerning the products that do not display the original price alongside the discounted price for B2B users. It seems that this discrepancy occurs with products that have variations. Specifically, products with variations that have differing values do not indicate that they are on sale for B2B customers; instead, only the discounted price is displayed. It is only upon selecting a variation that the full price and the price with the B2B discount become visible. Could you please test this scenario further? For instance, one product has variations with identical prices and displays both the original and discounted prices, while another product with variations at different prices only shows the discounted price, making it unclear at first glance that the product is on sale.

For the second issue, I understand the solution you’ve provided requires the Pro version of the plugin, and I appreciate the link to the code snippet. It sounds like this could address my concern about dynamic discount rules and sale prices effectively.

Again, thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your advice on the variations issue and any further steps you recommend.

    Best regards

    (1) Regarding the first issue, I believe you’re describing a variable product in which the price is a range.

If so, please note that this is normal because WooCommerce does not show the original prices for ranges. This is irrespective of B2BKing. You can test by deactivating B2BKing and configuring a variable product, with different sale prices for variations, you will see it does not display the original prices.

Do you find a different behaviour with B2BKing than with only WooCommerce? If so that’s certainly something we can look at.
