I have this plugin installed in the site, as well as standalone performance plugins WebP, Dominant Color and Performant Translations.

If I try to load the homepage when logged in, the server returns an HTTP 503 after around 5-10 seconds. The site responds normally if I’m not logged in. The hosting company confirms excessive load when my tests are carried out.

If I deactivate the main plugin (but not the standalone performance plugins) then the error doesn’t occur and the site responds quickly.

Thanks for reaching out @markhowellsmead. If you’d like to share your Site Health information (Tools > Site Health > info > Copy site info to clipboard) I’d be happy to see if I can determine any issue by setting up a similar environment. You can paste the results in here for me to view.

Another option, in the event of a multi plugin conflict, is to check does the same occur with only the Performance Lab plugin and standalone plugins active. You can do so via the following, without having to deactivate any plugins:

    1. Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to the Performance Lab plugin and also the standalone plugins.
    5. Check for the same issue once more.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Thanks for the suggestions. With the help of the Health Check plugin, I’ve been able to trace the problem to a problem when running this plugin with another third plugin. I’ve reached out to the developer of the other plugin and will respond when I have their answer.

Nice troubleshooting, and appreciate the update. Please do share any further insights when available, as I’m also happy to check for any conflicts or possible improvements.
