The comments for FAQs use WordPress’s built-in comments functionality, so there is nothing custom going on there. If that’s not what their support means, then we’ll need clarification.

We have an option called “Turn On Comment Support” in the Basic area of the Settings page. That will enable or disable support for comments on our post type. Beyond that, everything else is the same as with comments on regular posts (i.e. you can control them using the WordPress Discussion settings and also via the edit page for each FAQ post).

Hello, thank you for your response, I will pass it on to them.

Hello, thank you for your answer. We have carried out several tests to disable notifications after approval by creating functions using WordPress hooks and despite this we still receive the notification when it concerns the FAQ. Do you use a custom method to manage comments?

As previously mentioned, no, we do not.

What do you mean by notifications? If you visit an FAQ post page, is there a comment form there? Have you disabled them via the plugin admin? Have you disabled them via the post edit screen?

Hello, comments on the FAQ are activated from your plugin, we do have a form. Our problem lies with the approval of a comment. We receive an email to tell us that a new comment in the FAQ has been added, but this is not the case. We have developed a snippet to suppress email sending for comments, however we still receive an email when it is an FAQ comment.

That has nothing to do with our plugin. It makes use of WordPress’s built-in default behaviour/functionality for notification of comments. That would be a setting that you would need to figure out in WordPress, not our plugin.

    Thanks for your help
