The new version is no longer capable of blocking AdSense as the old version with “Enable Cookie Blocker” option.

    What is possible to do?

    Hi @ciscordpress,

The updated version of the plugin also contains the Cookie Blocker like the previous versions, so you should still be able to block the same content as you previously did; as long as you enable the Cookie Blocker.

It must be noted that AdSense requires a Google-certified CMP/TCF implementation though, so you would likely additionally require enabling the “Enable TCF & Google CMP Certified Consent Management with support for Google Advertising Products” option available in the Complianz Premium plugin, located under Complianz > Wizard > Consent > Services > Does your website contain scripts for advertising purposes? > Choose the appropriate frameworks.

    Kind regards, Jarno

Ok, so will the setup be similar also for the advertisements that we insert manually with the tags that we get from Google Ad Manager?

    Thank you in advance.

Will Google stop its services without Google-certified CMP/TCF implementation?

    Hi @ciscordpress,

Seeing as Ad Manager requires TCF, configuration should be similar. As per Google’s statement here (https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/13554020?hl=en&ref_topic=10366389), it would indeed require the use of a Google-certified CMP/TCF implementation when using products such as Google AdSense, Ad Manager to serve ads to users in the European Economic Area or the UK.

    Kind regards, Jarno
