Hi! I am struggeling with 3 questions. Let′s start with the most important one:

    1. Google Consent Mode Integration

I use the Google Site Kit plugin. But I only integrate the Analytics functions not the Ads or Tags. I installed it first and then your plugin. I have read all your 2021 documentations about this super fresh integration. And I followed them as good as it is possible. As you can see in this overview here on the left:

    https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVNjbRdhw=/?moveToWidget=3458764581705355600&cot=14

And as you said I disabled the function that google analytics sets its codesnippet because your tool is supposed to do that. (middle)

But the site health check indicates that many of the google analytics capabilites and features are not working, including the consent mode. (right)

What can I do to get the consentMode running?

    2. Processors vs Integrations

While you do have another documentation page on Processors vs 3rdpparty tools, I totaly did not getwhat I should do with the “Sharing Data” section. As you can see here:

    https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVNjbRdhw=/?moveToWidget=3458764581705440490&cot=14

…I added Mail Poet and IONOS, but I had no idea what to write into “Data”. And then seeing your integrations covering MailPoet I also wasn′t sure if I need to put Mail Poet or IONOS or any other into the Sharing Data fields.

Do I need to enter any Services into the Sharing Data fields?

If yes, which Services do I need to enter into the Sharing Data fields?

If yes, how should I know what to write into Data?

    3. The Cookie Mess

    As you can see here:

    https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVNjbRdhw=/?moveToWidget=3458764581705440798&cot=14

… your scanner detects tons of “unknown Services” and sends them to Cookiedatabase.org. Even your own cmplz_user_data is declared as an unknown service!

On top of that I see linkedIn cookies and also Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram beeing listed on the cookiedatabase.org screen, although I only declared that I use them on the services screen, but actually I do not use them. I only use a social buttons plugin “Easy social share buttons” whic proclaims to be “Privacy safe share buttons”. And I use the rank math Facebook and twitter Snippet Editor. I have no other Facebook, linkedIn, Twitter or Instagram integration.

What do I do with the cookie scan page and with the cookiedatabse.org page? Do I simply ignore those endless lists? Because your tool does configure them in a way I do not need to bother with?

    4. Do I need to click this?

    On this frame:

    https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVNjbRdhw=/?moveToWidget=3458764581706334846&cot=14

I gathered some of the Services that I did activate.

As you now have seen what runs on my website, do I actually need to click the social “Yes”, when I actually only have Share Buttons, Social Snippet Editors and maybe soon links to my own social media profiles?

I am running a woocommerce store. As I am not using Google Ads or Tags I wonder if I need to click the “Yes” for the advertising scipts here?

Hope that is enough information to find quick solutions.

    Thanks!

    Sascha

    Hi @sakowporg,

For #1, while the Site Kit notices don’t seem to refer to this plugin specifically (but for instance, to the permissions you’ve granted to Site Kit), do you already have the latest version of Complianz installed, and the Site Kit integration enabled under Complianz -> Integrations -> Plugins?

If so, you should see options under Complianz -> Wizard -> Consent -> Statistics – configuration as listed in this article (https://complianz.io/consent-mode-for-7-0/) under “Site Kit by Google Integration”

At #2, you have to identify & declare the third-parties and processors whom you share data with. While we can not provide legal assistance on these forums, you can use our earlier article to determine whether a service provider classifies as such (https://complianz.io/the-difference-between-a-processor-and-a-third-party/).

At #3, you can try performing another “Sync” by clicking the button on this page to re-run the synchronization with CookieDatabase. However, the list of “googlesitkit_” elements should not be a cause for concern as these are ‘admin-only’ cookies which are only used in the back-end.

You would activate the “TCF/Google-CMP” option at #4 when you intend to serve advertisements on your website with frameworks such as Google AdSense, but if not, you most-likely won’t require this option.

Please know that we would be happy to assist with any questions regarding the plugin, but that we’re only allowed to discuss Free functionalities on these forums. Feel free to reach us at https://complianz.io/support/ for questions regarding Premium.

    Kind regards, Jarno
