Why cant I delete the themes folder using FTP ?

    Hi,

    Im new to wp, and while experimenting with it I decided to re-install everything and start from scratch again. I deleted my database and using my FTP deleted my wordpress folder, yet it wont delete as its saving the wp-content / themes. I have 3 themes in that folder that wont delete, yet they are empty folders.

    After searching forums I found that checking “show hidden files” in both filezilla and cyberduck, didnt work for me.

    Also uploading and overwriting a brand new “themes” folder with just twenty-ten doesnt work.

    Any ideas whats going on? Any help would be much appreciated..

    cyberduck give a “file in use by another process” message.

    But I have no idea what else could be using the file..

    I had to contact my hosts to remove the files for me. Although its problem solved, its very time consuming. If anyone has a better solution, feel free to share it!
