Moderator, please remove these posts

Hi,

This is your fourth (that I know of) request to remove all of your posts.

The last three times, I was lenient with our rules and figured, “why not?” but I’m afraid that this has created some sort of bad habit.

If your “posts contain links to other websites and information that [you] would like to have removed,” just don’t post them, find a way to disguise the info, or please just understand the fact that you’re making such info public.

I’m sorry, but we’re all volunteers here, and we just can’t be expected delete all of your posts every week.

Is there a valid security or personal safety concern that would require the deletion of these posts?

Sorry for the constant requests. I guess I was not self-aware, and I did not mean to cause any extra work / trouble.

I will try to ‘hide’ the information from now on. There is no security or personal issue, so you do not have to remove my posts. Sorry for the disturbance!

You guys all do a phenomenal here at WordPress, and I appreciate everyone’s hard work. I think I was getting a little carried away.

If you’re concerned about URLs appearing in search engines, try a shortening service like https://bit.ly/

I’m having sort of the same problem, but I will only request this once. I made the stupid mistake a few months back when I deliberately wrote down links to my websites so that people could read my tutorials on wordpress there, but a moderator said that it’s not really ok so I don’t do that anymore.

However, these links are now broken because I’ve moved the tutorials to another site and this generates a lot of 404’s to my main domain.

I would be really happy if these links would be removed. The links for the posts are:

I guess that’s all of them. Some of these links are not allowed to in posts either, like the signature. I’d really appreciate it if somebody could help me with this. Thanks!

You can always do 301 redirects on your own site to point them to the new posts. If MichaelH didn’t delete the links then, and just gave a heads up, then there’s no worry from this end. We can (and will) delete spam links, which yours were not ??

301 permanent redirects should work. It’s an accepted protocol that has been around for years. My .htaccess is filled with several for reasons just like this.
