Creating user accounts?

  • Good day wonderful people!

    I am unable to add new users to WordPress. It creates a blank user file. The email that arrives is also blank.

    Any ideas?

  • What do you mean by “a blank user file”? Is the page empty after you have clicked on save? Then there is probably a server-side error. Its cause should be recognisable in the error log of your hosting.

    Hello, I only saw your response now.

    When I create a new user, an email arrives showing that the username and email address is blank. Looking at users in the WordPress dashboard, half the user’s info is missing. Looking at the SQL wp_user all the user info is there. So I cannot figure out what is going on?

    To rule out the influence of these, first deactivate all the plugins you are using and then test it again. Switching to a standard theme can also be useful for a test.

    Hello, I have deactivated the plugins, changed to a standard theme. Same result. Cannot add a new user.

    The hosting company had a look and also cannot figure it out.
