Untracked Authors in Stats

    I use Jetpack, and regularly glance at my statistics on there. Yesterday I noticed in the Authors area “Untracked Authors”, as well as myself. The posts that this ‘untracked author’ looked at are ones I know I did not look at yesterday. So who is/are these untracked authors?

    PS. There are no other authors for my blog, except me.

    “Untracked Authors” appearing in your Jetpack Stats typically refers to views of posts or pages on your site by authors that Jetpack couldn’t associate with any known user account on your WordPress site. This can happen if the content was published by a user that has been deleted or if there’s a discrepancy in the way user data is correlated within Jetpack’s stats module.

    Since you mentioned you are the only author on the blog, it’s possible the tracking could be due to a configuration issue or a temporary glitch.

    Hello and thank you very much for your initial and follow up response. Apologies for not replying. Your answer made sense as I had had 3 logins for myself to my website. I had closed 3 down, so the site is obviously seeing those I would guess.

    It was just very strange because it wasn’t blogs posts I had looked at.
