[Plugin: MediaElement.js – HTML5 Video & Audio Player] Can this Player play with WMV file?

I’ve got it showing a wmv file without a problem.
But I do have one other problem: the plugin shows the video fine in Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE. It shows an empty videobox (you can start the video, but then you only hear the audio).

The WMV does require Silverlight for playback.

Ronald, try updating to the latest version and let me know if you’re still having issues with IE.

i have no idea of what error could occur it,
i put the WMV file at another server, which can direct view by windows media server.

i have installed silverlight
i can’t see any movie with it,but if i embeed with media player,
i can see the movie.

Updating to the most recent version makes all browsers not show the movie. So I’ve downgraded to the first version.

Other problems: the progress bar doesn’t show
times elapsed/remaining keeps at 00.00
the ‘click to start’ and later play-button keeps visible even after starting the movie

It’s a most promising plugin, but it needs some work ??

Ronaldb73 – I am having a very similar experience with an audio player. FF and Chrome display fine but IE stalls and has display and/or playback problems. Did you every find a fix for your issue?

Johndyer, I would like to run wmv, but the silverlight is not yet installed, can you update the plugin to tell “install silverlight”

I wish mediaelement.js plugin gets a full stars plugin rating.
