    Hello @gclefapp!

    I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue!

    I checked your site and I see that it’s currently showing a critical error, which may be related to the issue you’ve mentioned.

    In this case, firstly, to regain access to the site, please visit the site’s files from FTP or from the hosting panel and rename the folder wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo – you can add “-disabled” to the name for example. This will deactivate SmartCrawl.

    For further checking as to what exactly caused the issue, my suggestion would be to check the PHP error log as it will contain details about the specific issue here. The location of the error log will depend on the hosting. If you find any Fatal Errors there related to SmartCrawl, please share those here.

    You can also enable debugging by adding the following defines to your site’s wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

    This will cause WordPress to generate a log file in wp-content/debug.log – after adding those lines and enabling SmartCrawl again briefly to trigger the error, you should see the error messages recorded there. Please share those so we can advise further on how to prevent this from happening.

    Kind regards,

    Pawe?

    Thanks for your response. I was able to get the PHP log. Here it is:

    “PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function translate(), 0 passed and at least 1 expected in /wp-includes/l10n.php:184
    Stack trace: 0 [internal function]: translate() 1 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/entities/class-entity.php(470): call_user_func() 2 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/entities/class-entity.php(451): SmartCrawl\Entities\Entity->resolve_macro() 3 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/entities/class-entity.php(630): SmartCrawl\Entities\Entity->apply_macros() 4 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/entities/class-blog-home.php(18): SmartCrawl\Entities\Entity->load_option_string_value() 5 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/entities/class-entity.php(86): SmartCrawl\Entities\Blog_Home->load_meta_title() 6 /wp-content/plugins/smartcrawl-seo/includes/core/controllers/” while reading response header from upstream

    What do you think could be the cause?

    Hi @gclefapp,

    I hope you are doing well today!

    Thanks for sharing debug.log contents related with SmartCrawl. Please make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin and WordPress.

    I also suggest to deactivate and delete the plugin and install again (reinstall)

    If this does not help, I suggest to perform full plugin & theme conflict test. Please make sure you have recent backups and perform this operation on your dev/staging site if possible.

    To learn more about a conflict test, please see this guide below:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#conflict-test

    Check out this handy flowchart of the troubleshooting process detailed above.

    If the issue persists please share the Site Health report with us which you can get from the WordPress admin dashboard Tools->Site Health->Info->Copy site info to clipboard and pasting to the free services such as https://pastebin.com or https://justpaste.it

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

    All tests done, still the same. @wpmudevsupport9 and @wpmudevsupport15 I have pasted the site health info on pastebin.com as directed. Thanks.

    Hi @gclefapp

    Thanks for response!

    I have pasted the site health info on pastebin.com as directed.

    Can you please share a link ot that “paste”? This service isn’t in any way directly connected to this forum or us and we can’t find shared info unless we have a link to it ??

    Best regards,
    Adam
