    Hello,

    I have a site where I use a LinkedIn script that is for statistics purposes. I have used the script center your plugin provides to block it and I also tried to add the data-category tag on the scripts.

    Both methods block the cookie as intended, but on the Google dev console > applications I see a notice that says “This attempt to set a cookie via a Set-Cookie-header was blocked due to user preferences”

    So, I would like to ask why this happens and if it is possible to fix it.

    Best Regards

    Hi @stevendigital,

    Instead of manually adding the script to the page, you can add this script under Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> Add a third-party script, leave out the <script></script> tags and the <noscript> part, and fire it on Statistics or Marketing consent.

    Or instead use the “Block a script” field to correctly block the manual implementation that’s currently added to the site.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    I added this in both of the script tags in the footer, and the NoScript tags are left as is.

    <script type="text/javascript" data-category="statistics">

    Does this method above does not work any more? Because the message I am referring to, still appears after the consent. Can this be related to an incognito browser?

    Hi @stevendigital,

    It seems that in your modification, you’ve left the type= as "text/javascript", but it should be "text/plain" for the script to actually be blocked until Statistics consent is received.

    You are right. And after consent, the plugin changes this to /javascript? Also, just to make something clear, if there are 2 separate script tags, I add them on the script centre as 2 different scripts or they can be merged into one? This can break the functionality of the tracking.

    Hi @stevendigital,

    Yes, the plugin will update this to text/javascript after obtaining consent, and the script is loaded as a result.

    The latter would really depend on the code itself as well, but specifically for the LinkedIn Insights Tag this should indeed work fine. Here’s my example of how I would add that script to the Script Center -> Add a third-party script field.

    Kind regards, Jarno
