    When trying to add a new record in the backend through the WP dashboard we are getting the error “A record with that First Name already exists. Please choose another.” So basically any new record that has the same first name as an existing record can’t be added. I can save the new record without a first name and then go back in and add the first name and save, and it works. All plugins are up to date and no new plugins have been installed. I tried deactivating plugins to see if there was a conflict and that didn’t help.

    The plugin has a configuration for avoiding creating duplicate records, and this is what you are seeing.

    In the plugin settings, under the Signup Form tab, you’ll see a Duplicate Record Field selector, this is typically set to something unique like the email.
