I may have a solution for current problems with Translate Press. Because I noticed that some others here describe similar troubles, which I had.

    Here is my solution:

    1. Deactivate Translate Press Plugin
    2. Go to all your menues and check, if there is a note, which tells you, that there are missing links (or similar notification)
    3. I found those links, deleted them.
    4. Check out all your menues! This is important.
    5. After that I re-activated TP, which is a fantastic plugin (cudos to the developers! and thank you very much!) and the language switcher showed up again. Have not yet tested the translation, but am sure it will work like always.

Add: The links were TP – links btw. Referring to language switche if I remember right.
