Hi. Firstly, thank you for develping this great app which is just what I need for a citizen science project tracking invasive species. Once my map goes live and people start adding sitings, is there a way to search by date/year. I see that the field type for the basic version is set to text. If I upgrade, is there a date option on the form?

    Thank you, Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

Although it is not exactly a date search you can use the Marker Search for filtering by dates as well. Try a search for “August” on this demo.

You could edit the default label of the search field to something like “Search for month or year”.

    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel

    Thanks for your reply.

I searched for ‘August’ as you suggest and it directs me to a marker 11th August 2023. Where did that date come from? When I search for a marker I have added it does not have a date attributed in the way that your example does. Is this something to do with the paid version?

I should add that I would like to search by the date that the animal was observed, not the date that the marker was added (as the two may not be the same).

    Thank you,

    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

The marker search works for all content fields of a location. So if you would add a field “date of the sighting” the search would find this text value as well.

    Best regards,
    Daniel
