Switching from Elementor to Kadence Theme: Smooth Transition and Live Website Ma

  • I want to ask that I have two business WordPress websites that are currently on the Elementor theme. Now, I want to change the theme to a lightweight one for both websites. My question is, if I take a backup of the websites, then install and activate the Kadence theme, and deactivate Elementor, will the theme transfer simply or will I need to do some settings adjustments? And will my website remain live or go down during this process?

    “Elementor” is not a theme that I know of, it’s a page builder plugin. The developer of Elementor does offer a “Hello” starter theme, and there are a number of 3rd party themes developed around content built with Elementor.

    As long as you have the Elementor plugin active, you should be able to switch themes. If you do not use the plugin, some or much of your content will not render properly. However, if your content involves theme specific elements, they will not transfer to a different theme, so some adjustments may be necessary.
