WP 1.5 and Posting via e-mail

Hello All ,
Is there an up to date document or userguide showing me how to post to WordPress via e-mail? I have seen a couple of things but none seem to be for WP 1.5.
I am not sure if there is anything different from earlier versions to 1.5 but don’t want to make a mess of things!
Also is there a way for WP to automatically check the e-mail and post without someone doing it manually?
