I have a “Your connection seems disconnected. Please click on “Get Started” to reconnect.” error on the Settings page and when I click on Get Started to try to connect it opens up a popup Facebook page with the error message:

URL blockedThis redirect failed because the redirect URI is not white-listed in the app’s client OAuth settings. Make sure that the client and web OAuth logins are on and add all your app domains as valid OAuth redirect URIs.

What do I need to do in this instance to reconnect and get the plugin working properly again? Thanks.

  • Hi @sarahgb,

Thank you for reaching out. The error message you’re seeing typically indicates that the redirect URI provided in your Facebook app settings does not match the one configured in your WooCommerce plugin. To resolve this, you’ll need to ensure that the redirect URI in your Facebook app’s OAuth settings is correctly configured.

It’s important to note that both the client and web OAuth logins should be enabled, and the redirect URI should exactly match the one specified by the plugin. If you’re unsure about the correct URI, it might be listed in the plugin’s documentation or settings page.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Hi, I’m using the official Facebook for Woocommerce plugin – is this not the support thread for that? It has always connected in the past through the plugin directly – I didn’t think I neded to create an App or edit anyting to do with it – if so where do I find the redirect URI in my Facebook app’s OAuth settings to configure and enable?

    Hello sarahgb

    Thank you for your reply.

You are correct, this is the forum for the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin.
Rest assured, we are here for your support.

The problem you have described appears to be on your Facebook account.
Could you check your account and make sure your website’s URL has proper permissions?

It would be helpful if you could share a screenshot of this error:
URL blocked. This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not white-listed in the app’s client OAuth settings.

I look forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
