• Hi, I am wondering why my image links are broken.
    My website is:
    https://www.hsdesign.comuf.com

My images are sitting in “wp-content” – “uploads” within the root directory. My test image is called “image1.jpg”

The image is already uploaded in the location mentioned above. When I insert my image url in my WordPress theme, I type in:

    [image url=”https://www.hsdesign.comuf.com/wp-content/uploads/image1.jpg”%5D

    Am I doing something wrong?
Btw, my “Upload New Media” section on my WordPress dashboard doesn’t work either. This is the error message that I get:

““image1.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/a2813125/public_html/wp-content/uploads.”

I hope someone can answer my question and help me out here. Images are kind of crucial for my website…

    Heidi

  • Hi Heidi,
I took a peek. Your image is there, just like you said. I looked around a bit more, and it seems that you have a Timthumb plugin that is trying to make thumbnails on your images. For some reason, that’s not working.

First place to check is in Settings… Media, under the Uploading Files section. If that’s set wrong, that could mess up all image displays and uploads. Most often this is messed up when moving the blog from one place to another, and neglecting to change this setting. I would try the defaults, including having “Organize my uploads…” checked.

If all that stuff is right, maybe Timthumb is messed up, and may need an update or something. Hard to say for sure without seeing everything.

    Good luck,
    Dave
