    I am internally creating sites use multiSite subdomains.

    I then need to migrate 1 of the these subDomain sites(Multisite) –> ( *SingleSite)ClientServer.com/subDomain/

    *Unfortunately, a multiSite cant be installed into a /subDir/ – so i need to create a SingleSite install. How different are the DB tables?

    is this possible?
    has anyone encountered any issues?
    does anyone have a migration script for this?

    *i was told by another dev that the Export Tool does has some serious issues:

    First is that images that weren’t added through the media library fail to get moved over — you have to upload them and update the paths yourself. (media library images are imported automatically)

    The other thing is that the process strips some stuff out of posts. Specifically I noticed YouTube embeds got lost, and if I’d included the HTML attribute ‘id’, that would get lost.

  • Yep, use the export tool.

    Use the unfiltered html plugin to make sure the post embeds don’t get stripped.

    tho if you’re going FROM a network TO a single install you won’t have that issue.
