Trackback worked at TT page but not at others

  • I did the recommended \r\n fix (a forum search on “trackback” will point to a thread with details).

    I have since entered trackback URLs for my posts relating to posts at two other blogs. Neither TB showed up on the other blogs. I went to the helpful Test Track page and tried to trackback. It worked both to and fro.

    Both of the blogs I had trackbacked to do show trackbacks from elsewhere, so it’s clear they’re not closed to trackbacks.

    Any ideas of what to check or try would be appreciated.

  • If they are moderating comments, then it won’t show up until approved.

    I got word back from one of the other bloggers. He said he knew nothing about it, indicating he hadn’t blocked or deleted my trackback.

    The trackback setup at TestTrack is early 1.5.1 code, but that said, it does work with some 1.5 blogs, and not with others. I am running a variant of 1.5.1 and some trackbacks come through, others do not.
    Trackback appears to be one of those things we just cannot nail down.

    OK, thanks for the input. I guess I’ll just hold on for further developments.
