stars rating in CSV

    Hello,

    I am using this plugin for my comments: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/stars-rating/

    This adds stars to comments, transforming them in user reviews.

    How can I bulk import this value (the star rating) with the csv? is there any column I can add that will import it? I tried with stars_rating as column header but that didn’t work.

    Also, second question, I would like to give a “Author” permission to upload csv files with comments. How can I do that?

    I don’t want to give him full “admin” permissions, just the ability to upload these .csv files.

    update: I think the stars plugin stores the stars reviews in the wpcommentsmeta table. Any way I can integrate this in my bulk upload?

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We tested the plugin you mentioned, and it appears that the star ratings can be exported and imported using our plugin. During export, the star ratings are included in the “meta:rating” column. 

    Regarding your second question about allowing “Author” to upload CSV files with comments, currently, only administrators and shop managers have permission to import due to security reasons.

    Thank you! I cannot believe I missed that.

    But as I was looking around my exported csv I also noticed some other random empty columns:

    what are these? and I do I get rid of them (all columns are empty for all comments)

    Hi @deon-b,

    These empty columns are the metadata fields on your site. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to remove them from the export file using the plugin.
