• I’m looking to duplicate my blog search index into my courses index. Is this possible?

I’m also concerned that I want it to be totally separate, meaning that no free blog content will show up in the blog search index on the free side of my website, the same goes for paid content showing up when someone searches using the blog index.

I’ll want the user to be able to search for titles of the page, course and PDF downloads.

I’m also using MemeberPress as my paid content plugin.

Relevanssi works with one search index, but you can have many different views. For example, with post types, it’s easy to restrict the search to a specific post type.

Relevanssi has built-in MemberPress support. It should not display members-only content to non-member visitors.

Restricting the search to only members-only content is more complicated. Is there an easy way to tell the different sections apart? Easy would be a post type, page hierarchy or taxonomy.

It’s also possible to invert the MemberPress search filter: it’s possible to flip it so that it only includes locked posts. That could be one approach, do it like that when someone searches from your restricted section.

    Hey Mikko!

    Thank you for your explanation.

Do you have any video tutorials I could follow?

Also, would you recommend I change the title of this thread so it’s easier for others to find? I’m unsure of what people would search for to find this answer

No, no video tutorials. Usually questions people ask are specific enough that making a video doesn’t make sense (and you may have noticed my overall aversion to videos already; I’m a writer). You’re the first one to ask for this specific use case –?usually, users are happy with one search that includes the membership content for people who can see it.

Just ask questions here, and I’ll provide guidance as necessary.

No need to rename the title.
