    Hi all,

After every backup restore I noticed that the changes are not restored because of the WP Super Cache plugin. It is necessary to clear the cache.
I was wondering if it automatically purges the website cache after a while?
Or is it a practice to manually purge the cache after restoring the backup?

    Than you.

  • Hi @saznajmo,

It’s common to need to clear the cache after performing a restore to ensure that the changes are reflected on your website. WP Super Cache does not automatically purge the entire cache after a backup restore; you generally need to do this manually.

By default, the WP Super Cache plugin clears the cache every 1,800 seconds, that’s the equivalent of 30 minutes. You can wait for that to happen after a restore, or just preferably clear the cache manually after it completes.
