Updating MailPoet should not result in deletion of your subscribers.

Can you please send us the following information:

    • A screenshot of the MailPoet > Help > System Status page. Please ensure to capture the whole page or make several screenshots.
    • Copy and paste the information from MailPoet > Help > System Info.

    Hi again @inscriptionweb,

Thanks for sharing that additional information. I don’t see any obvious issues here with your setup. In addition, we do not have any known bugs with 4.48.2 that would explain a loss in data.

When you say that subscribers have been lost, do you mean that they were actually deleted from the plugin / database? Or do you mean that some subscribers are now marked as inactive or bounced, instead of subscribed?

Can you give us some idea of what your subscribed numbers were like before and after the upgrade, and also share a screenshot of your current subscriber list – this is under MailPoet > Subscribers on the main screen?

    I’m thinking that either:

    • many subscribers were returned as “bounced” by your sending service on the most recent send – if so, these subscribers should appear in the “bounced” tab under Subscribers, or
    • a database corruption happened – possibly due to the installation of another plugin, moving the site, restoring a backup, or activating increased security controls

Please check the site history and Bounced tab for either of these scenarios.

    Hello,
To answer your questions, I would like to inform you that subscribers are deleted from the database table.
I have gone from 91 subscribers (the table has 96 rows) to 16 subscribers (the updated table has 18 rows).
I’ve deactivated all the extensions and updated Mailpoet, but that hasn’t changed anything.
Attached is a screenshot of the subscriber list.
    Thanks for your help

    Hi again @inscriptionweb,

Thanks for confirming that the removed subscribers are completely gone from the database.

I do see that you have a third party database cleaning plugin, Advanced Database Cleaner:
    https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-database-cleaner/

As we are not the developers of that plugin, we cannot speak to its functionality or how it might interact with MailPoet; however, it does seem like the most likely candidate here for having deleted items from the database. I see you also have a downgrade and a rollback plugin as well; both of these could also have had an effect on the database directly and altered tables unexpectedly.

As we have received no other reports of data being deleted by upgrading MailPoet, this does not seem to be a issue with MailPoet itself.

All MailPoet data is stored only on your local site. We do not maintain a centralized backup of your data for privacy reasons. So, if these subscribers have been actually deleted from the database, the only option to restore them is to restore the database from a backup. If you have a copy of your list from a previous backup, you can also import that to your subscriber list to restore it.
