• Hi Jeff,

    my plugin unique ID is: 14065

    The slideshow is being loaded fine in IE, Safari and Chrome, but in mozilla firefox, when we open the page first time it is just displaying loading image until we refresh that page again.

    Please reply me with some solution, my site is on completion and this is stopping it to finish.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Jeff!

    Its really weird, because I am using this plugin in multisites and it has same unique ID for both sites as they are in multisite.

    Unique ID is: 1005

    Before it was not working the first site on first time loading of the page in firefox, then it start working itselft by doing anything special on my side.

    Now I am using it for another site in this multisite group and I am facing the same problem. Can you tell me why its happening and how I can solve it?

    Thanks,
    Arpita

    Same here.

    same here, any solution?

    where are the FPSS people??
    a lot of users need help about this infinite loading bug…

    “the FPSS people” its “Me, Myself and I” ??

    This bug can’t be exactly reproduced anytime (seems to) For example, I never seen this behavior by myself, on any version of any browsers, and I always test on each IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera versions on any platforms (Linux, Mac, Windows, mobiles)…

    As I am not a magician, I can’t debug things that I can’t see… if only somebody could answer to my questions… but no one never answer correctly…

    Anyway, I am about to launch a new version of this plugin with some improvements concerning preloading, css isolation, transitions and templates, hope all this will fix that buggy thing.

    Hi

    thank you for your answer.
    I did not want to hurt anyone with this, and I did not you develop this plugin alone, which is a very great work.
    If I can help by answering your questions I’d be happy to. Send me an mp.

    For me the behavior is as follows:
    I (who is the admin of my site) am the only one not to see the bug (the slideshow works well), but everyone else (and including when I surf trough a proxy) see the bug (slideshow loading infinitely).
    I use Firefox 4, Linux (Ubuntu), last version of FPSS for wordpress, and last version of wordpress (the bug is still the same with all other extensions deactivated).

    You did not hurt me ?? its all ok

    I’ll investigate on it

    ok good.

    When do you think you’ll be able to release the new version? (because depending on your answer I might use another plugin to maintain my website during this time)
    thanks

    maybe next month… during this time, you could tweak you server configuration (via vhost or htaccess if you are using apache) by avoing caching of images that are displayed by the slider

    ok thanks.

    I have a fix for this…

    after the wp_head()

    i pasted this to link it for it to clear cache

    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.creativehandsmedia.com/larealtyllc/wp-content/plugins/frontpage-slideshow/js/jquery-ui-effects.js?<?php echo time(); ?>'></script>

    I’m not good enough to figure this out on the PHP end of it… lol if someone has that I would love to get it!
