Lost ability to view 2 years of visitor stats in bar-graph

Hello there — we checked the issue in your WordPress.com account, and we see the stats appear there from 2019. Could you please let us know what exact steps you are following to see the stats for the previous years?

I pick “View all stats” Next I click on “Last 30 days”

In the popup it says “Date range–mm/dd/yy” Which has a lock symbol and requests that I upgrade. Previously this date range worked fine – before the change to subscription status. I did upgrade, so why can’t I enter the date? Is this a bug or something intentional?

Hello @ralbeck – I’m not able to open the above screenshot that you have provided. It looks like it is restricted, could you please make it publicly accessible and reply here and then we will check it again.

Hello there – thanks for making the screenshot file publicly available. I checked them and want to let you know if you don’t have commercial license, then you’ll only be able to choose the intervals rather than selecting an arbitrary range to view stats.

If you want to check stats by selecting range, you will need to upgrade.

I completely understand and will consider the matter closed. However, please note the following:

a) JetPack has accumulated data from our website for years.
b) We have use the unique visitor stats in the bar-graph format provided by JetPack for free.
c) Since you do not allow downloading of stats it’s not possible to archive our own data.
d) As a non profit we are not in a position to upgrade to a commercial license.
e) Consequently, it will take years to accumulate the same data from other sources (for free).
f) It’s unlikely we would have trusted JetPack in the first place if we knew of this marketing plan.

Hello there – we have not restricted on exporting stats data if the stats is working. You can go to?https://wordpress.com/stats?and log in with your WordPress.com username, then click on the individual stats cards and bellow them you’ll see a “Download data as CSV” link from where you can export the data. There is not however a central location to download stats, you would need to follow the steps above for any stats card (and dates) you want to download data for.

I understand that price changes are never easy. We have not made this decision lightly; after providing the Jetpack Stats service for free for many years, it’s not something we can do any longer and remain sustainable. We appreciate the feedback and understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for. We hope that Jetpack Stats can continue to provide value to your site.
