    Hello YITH Support Team,

I am using the YITH WooCommerce Subscription on my book subscription club website and am considering switching my payment gateway to PayPal to enable automatic recurring charges. I have some questions regarding the integration and compatibility of YITH WooCommerce Subscription with two specific PayPal plugins:

    1. PayPal for WooCommerce
    2. WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway

    My questions are as follows:

    1. General Compatibility: Is YITH WooCommerce Subscription compatible with the above-mentioned plugins for processing automatic recurring charges via PayPal?
    2. Configuration and Features: Are there specific settings or steps I should follow to ensure the integration works correctly, allowing automatic charging of subscribers’ credit cards without requiring them to have PayPal accounts?
    3. Recurring Support: Do both PayPal payment plugins effectively support the recurring charge functionality in conjunction with YITH WooCommerce Subscription, or are there limitations I should be aware of?
    4. Recommendations: Based on the functionalities of YITH WooCommerce Subscription, which of the two PayPal plugins would you recommend for the best integration and user experience, considering that my business is located in Brazil and most of my customers use various credit cards to make payments?

Thank you in advance for your assistance, and I look forward to your guidance to make the best decision for my business.

    Best regards,

    Raphael Castro

    Hello @raphaelrcastro

unfortunately the plugin you mentioned are not integrated with the plugin.

With this version of the plugin you can use only:

    Thanks for your response, @witcher83.

I’m based in Brazil, and since my business is geared towards the Brazilian market, I’ve installed the “PayPal Brasil para WooCommerce” plugin on my website. However, I’m concerned about encountering the same issue I’m currently facing with the automatic charging of recurring payments. Do you know if this PayPal plugin for Brazil is considered “PayPal Standard,” and whether it’s integrated within WooCommerce?

If this doesn’t work out, could you recommend which of the plugins you mentioned previously would be more suitable for the Brazilian market?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello @raphaelrcastro

no, they are different gateways. So it won’t work for sure.

I have no other payment gateways to recommend since this version of the plugin supports only the gateways I have already mentioned.

Ok! Thank you so much for your support. I’ll use one of the plugins mentioned by you above.

I have one last question: the website of PayPal Standard recommends to download the plugin “Paypal Payments” as described below. I suppose that ‘Paypal Payments’s won’t work as well, right? I apologize for asking again, but I became worried of not following the suggestion of Paypal:

“Since WooCommerce version 5.5.0,?PayPal Standard is hidden for new installations. This change doesn’t affect existing stores. We strongly encourage everyone using PayPal standard to use the recommended?PayPal Payments?extension instead, which is our full-stack solution (credit card processing, PayPal checkout, subscriptions, pay later options, etc). Support for PayPal Standard is very limited — you might be asked to switch to PayPal Payments if troubleshooting cannot fix reported issues.”

    Thanks a lot once again.
