    Hello everybody,
    It is not possible to show videos in a course by using YouTube public links. If a user starts a course, it is not able to watch any video.
    The browser shows a blank page and no video!
    I tried to use different browsers (Chrome, Firefox) on a Windows PC, on a Linux Ubuntu and on Android. No videos are showed.

    I also reported the bug here.

    Is there any check to do?

    We have tested the YouTube public video link on our lesson, but the YouTube video is working fine. For your confirmation, please check the following screenshots:

    Could you please try adding this video link: https://youtu.be/pr1vYXNnaTI to your lesson? Also, please provide us with a screenshot showing how you added the video to your lessons.

    Hello,

    I followed your instructions by changing the URL with the URL provided. However, nothing happened.

    I recorded a video clip with all the steps, and you can download it through this Google Drive link.

    Some notice:

    • I tried to open the course/videos through 1 PC with Windows 10, 1 PC with Windows 11, 1 PC with Ubuntu 22.04 Desktop, and 1 Android mobile smartphone. Videos doesn’t work on any device, there always is a blank page.
    • I tried to use different browsers, like Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.
    • I can correctly watch videos only in the preview page.
    • You can try to register on my website, since this first course is free for everyone. So you can directly try to open videos/sections by yourself. You can reach the course on this link https://www.spiritocombattivo.it/corsi-karate-online/. I am sorry for the language because it’s in Italian.
    • I can watch only video that have been uploaded on Vimeo (as the first video on my course).

    We checked your course but did not find the issue on your YouTube videos. For your confirmation, please check this screen recording: https://jam.dev/c/11af5bc9-b931-4df0-9c3f-b1faad05ef1c

    It might be the browser cache, so we recommend you check the site from private (Incognito) browser mode.

    Hi,

    I think so I figured out the issue!

    It’s not a problem related to the browser cache, but related to the cookies. There are cookies related to the YouTube service, and if not accepted the videos will not load themselves.

    So, if the YouTube cookies are not accepted or if there is some plugin that can block cookies/third parties cookies, the YouTube videos will not work!

    Now, I will have to notify users to accept all cookies in order to correctly follow courses.
