I would like to have the product categories as 3 columns but the products themselves as 4 columns – however in customiser changing the “Product Columns” changes both categories and products?

is it possible to have them different?

    thank you
    Sarah

  • Hey there, @sarahweb! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

The page layouts depend on the theme you are using. Some themes will offer more customization options than others.

Is the theme you are using a FSE theme? This means it would have an option called Editor under the Appearance tab.

If it is a FSE theme, you should be able to change that on the templates. The theme’s support will be able to share exact steps, as they might vary depending on the theme you are using.

If it is not a FSE theme, it might still give you this option, please reach out to the theme’s support so they can confirm this for you.

If the option is not available on the theme by default, you can still achieve it with custom code.

While we can’t provide support for code customization as per our support policy, we do our best to offer advice and direct you to appropriate resources.

You can visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for your reply – I will most certainly look at the theme first then – and then check out FB and slack as well – appreciate the reply
