    Hello lovely people.

I’ve started a blog site and have been adding posts using the visual editor in WP.

I’ve recently been trying to make the site a bit better and went onto the free ubersuggest platform.

It scanned my site and said that there were no H1 tags. I was under the impression that when I added a title it would automatically add the H1 tags – apparently this isnt the case. (Seems daft to me but that may be just be me not understanding things)

Anyhow I have gone into the code editor and manually added the tags in the title like this: <h1>Alicante Weather: 7 things you should know</h1>

Is this good enough to fix the issue?
and … is there a way for the tags to be automatically added to the title in the visual editor?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @icwicks,

    Thank you for reaching out,

There isn’t a bug; the H1 tag will be automatically added when you enable the page title in Customizer > General Options > Page Title. The feature is already turned on when you install the theme. Otherwise, you can adjust the settings of the single post in Customizer > Blog > Single Post and set the heading tag there: https://postimg.cc/68BW63Vn.

Furthermore, you can manage the page/post title under the edit page by clicking the “O” icon: https://postimg.cc/rdrMQrq6.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks Shahin

SOo I am not really understanding. Apologies for this, I am just a beginner. Are you able to tell if I need to do something or are the h1 tags showing correctly? (www.thisisalicante.com)
I am just worried about the SEO being affected.

    Thanks again

    Hello @icwicks,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Generally, there are two options for page titles. But you must set the heading tag in Customizer:

    1. Customizer: Please check the settings in this path: Customizer > General Options > Page Title
    https://postimg.cc/XGz0pVmB

    2. Under the edit page/post/product:
    https://postimg.cc/rdrMQrq6

If you disable the page title in number 1, then you can enable it only for one page by enabling it on number 2.

If you disabled numbers one and two for the blog posts, you can change the heading tags here: Customizer > Blog > Single Post: https://postimg.cc/68BW63Vn.

Otherwise, if you use none of the above features in the theme, you must manually add a heading tag to the page’s content (according to the page builder).

Furthermore, I recommend using an SEO plugin to help you with heading tags on your website(search here: https://wp.org/plugins/). If any heading tags are missed on any pages, the SEO plugin will help you solve the problem (you can use OceanWP options to add a page title with an H1 heading or add it manually — depending on the settings you choose to have).

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
