• Hi, if you install WooCommerce on an installation where the Astra theme is used, there are problems with some translations on the cart page (for example with the “Buy Now” button). This happens on more than one website…

I checked the translations with Loco Translate and for WooCommerce the translations are fine, but Astra does not retrieve them. I deactivated all additional plugins and the problem persists. I changed theme and the problem was solved, so it seems that Astra does not retrieve some WooCommerce translations correctly.

See if you can track down the problem and release a version that fixes it, thanks!

  • Hi @ecoseis,

There’s no Buy Now button on the Cart page. Refer to this screenshot, please.

    What did I miss?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Herman,

I took a closer look at the issue and finally discovered what was interfering with the WooCommerce translations in certain themes, like Astra. From the WordPress customizer under: WooCommerce / Cart, there was an option enabled that added the phrase “BUY NOW” to the cart button. I’m not used to this option being enabled by default, but apparently this has changed in a recent update.

    Thanks anyway.

Hi there, thank you for the update.

Good to know that you have figured it out.

Feel free to start a new thread if there’s anything else related to Astra, we can help you with.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
