• Hi, if you install WooCommerce on an installation where the Astra theme (and eventually other themes) is used, there are problems with some translations on the cart page (for example with the “Buy now” button). This happens on more than one website… and it’s not a cache problem.

I checked the translations with Loco Translate and for WooCommerce the translations are fine, but Astra (and eventually other themes) does not retrieve them. I deactivated all additional plugins and the problem persists. I switched themes and, depending on the WP installation, the problem was solved (but not always), so it seems that some popular themes do not correctly retrieve some WooCommerce translations.

See if you can track down the problem and release a version that fixes it (the sites where we have detected problems are not online or in production, so we do not have a public URL), thanks!

  • Hey there, @ecoseis! Thanks for contacting us.

As I understand the translation issue occurs with Astra and some other themes, but there are themes where the issue does not happen, correct?

Please note that if that’s the case, the best place to get support for it is with the theme’s support, as they will be able to check why their theme is not being translated correctly. It is possible the theme has templates that are overwriting the translation. But since this is not a WooCore issue, we are not able to help.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
