    HI

Previous ticket was closed … https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/backups-in-dashboard-not-showing-all-backups-there-like-uploads-other/

Issue was NOT resolved. Not sure WHY it was closed.

CLient is not happy that we haven’t resolved things. Client is still having issues with your plugin NOT completing backups and NOT showing in the Dashboard for backups done.

We receive an email from the system saying backups INCOMPLETE.

So in summary of the issues:

    • Only database backups work
    • Other backups says “INCOMPLETE” – So I cannot tell what’s been backed up and what has NOT been backed up when saying INCOMPLETE
    • Dashboard doesn’t display ALL backups – ONLY database backups are working.
    • Backups are set to store to cloud also. But they should be showing in the Dashboard also.
    • Email received from system saying backups INCOMPLETE via email
    • The email attachment seems to say “7918.511 (10) Free space on disk containing Updraft’s temporary directory: 95762.7 MB”
    • How can we achieve this ?
    • I spoke with hosting they say its a plugin resource issue .. NOT to do with hosting …
    • Please view the last ticket and my REPLIES to your questions.
    • I shared the full log last time, but no-one responded
    • This is an urgent issue as last ticket was closed and issue not resolved.

Can you post the full backup log using a tool such as pastebin.com?

Yes I did that last time, but no-one replied and then ticket was closed.

    Here it is again.

    Hi,

Apologies, all that gave me with an insanely long secret key (I did not see a log)

Please advise, its available for 1 day. Wasn’t sure HOW long to have it there for.

You have an old Backup uddy backup in your uploads. I would advise you delete it.

Alternatively, you can exclude it from the backups in the settings tab >> exclude from uploads. I would exclude the backupbuddy folder in your Uploads from the backup.

Also your backup is struggling with the 1000 MB archive split, can you try reducing it back to the default of 400 MB in settings>>show expert setting

    HI

I can see all the backups going to cloud so they seem to be working now. Screenshot below.

BUT the dashboard doesn’t show the latest backups ONLY database.

Whereas Cloud backups show uploads, datatabase and plugin backups.

But as we keep getting an email about the backups being Unsuccessful and the Dashboard doesn’t update with the latest backups, HOW can I trust the backups sitting in Cloud ? Maybe they are NOT complete backups ?

I have never restored from one of your backups so not sure how it works.

Here is screenshot of CLoud backups

    https://quickforget.com/s/330624d2ac4b841ac5a219b54b0091a6d4ea09fe3fe9cc54

So they seem to be working… BUT WHY does the email every single time say “UNSUCCESSFUL” as per what I have already sent you previously with the logs. It seems to be reflecting (as per my previous conversations) that the Updraft Temp directory has run out of space.

Maybe that suggests WHY backups to Cloud work as they are NOT saving on local Updraft sub directory because of issues with directory in WordPress ?>>?

As mentioned client is NOT happy at all and as this has taken ages to try and resolve and a few tickets with last one being closed and issue not resolved.

Please also advise whether your Updraft plugin backs up ALL WordPress files under public_html also please ? This is important to know and ensure that it does.

As we need ALL files for the backup including the current WordPress version AND ALL Wp-content etc.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi,

Apologies for the delay, I have been on leave. You would need the premium plugin to backup any core files such as the wp-config.php. You would not be able to backup all files with the free plugin. The only ones that most people need are DB, Uploads, Themes and Plugins. If the site was to go down, you would need to install a fresh WP install which would have all of the other files in it (if you have been hacked, always use a fresh install).

Unfortunately, I cannot see the screenshot. Can you provide screenshots of your backup/restore tab and the backups in cloud (can you ensure I can see the full file name for the backups on your cloud.? Can you also provide your latest backup log?

Updraft does not have a temp directory, all backups are made in the wp-content/updraft folder and then uploaded to your remote storage. As mentioned before, the issue may be with your archive split. have you had the chance to reduce it?

If reducing it to 400 MB does not work, try going down to 100 and see if that helps.

I would also get rid of that old backup as it’s only going to cause you issues further down the line.
