Hi, I really like the plugin and it’s great to see google analytics data simplified. However, I wonder if this plugin keeps site google analytics information in its database. Because I’m worried that this plugin uses excessive resources on the website.

Also, I couldn’t find where to monitor traffic information for subsites in a multisite network, and the plugin is managed from the main site, not the network manager.

    Hi @thecreator01,

I hope you are keeping well and thank you for reaching out to us.

Beehive brings real-time Google Analytics reports to the WordPress dashboard, hence no data is stored in the WordPress database.

Beehive allows configuring Google Analytics on subsites on a multi-site network, please find more details in our documentation here: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/beehive/#connecting-a-multisite-network

I hope the following FAQ helps you with more information: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/beehive/#multisite-connection-faq

Please feel free to get back to us if you need additional clarification, we are happy to assist.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

Hello, thank you for your reply. @wpmudevsupport14

Google analytics code works on all subsites, but I cannot correctly view the traffic to subsites in beehive statistics.

If I enable Beehive on all subsites, each user can add their own google analytics code, but for example, users can also set some roles on the Permissions page in the settings, and network administrator is also included. Shouldn’t subsite users have these permissions?

    Hi @thecreator01,

I’m afraid, the subsite statistics can only be accessible within the subsite dashboard, please check the following doc for more information on how it works in a multisite:

    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/beehive/#multisite-connection-faq

Shouldn’t subsite users have these permissions?

If you meant to allow sub site admin to control the permissions, then there is already an option for that in the network dashboard under Beehive > Settings > Permissions > Statistics

Please let us know if you have any further queries.

Hello, thank you for your response, but I really couldn’t find this option in the settings tab. (Screenshot attached.) https://prnt.sc/onvS2BEF_Qf3

Also, does the beehive plugin need to be enabled network-wide for subsite users to see their stats?

    Hello @thecreator01,

I really couldn’t find this option in the settings tab.

You will have to network-enable Beehive, in order for the setting to appear in the network dashboard.

Also, does the beehive plugin need to be enabled network-wide for subsite users to see their stats?

That’s correct, and you will also have to configure user roles which are allowed to view statistics.

After network-activating Beehive, navigate to /wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=beehive-settings#/permissions

In the Statistics section toggle specific roles which you’d like to be able to view Analytics: https://prnt.sc/G3Q1xrxL1lEV

Another way is to bind this to an existing capability, for example: https://prnt.sc/h9663L_wA-SW

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Dmytro
