    Hi there,

It seems like the problem is with setting up triggers correctly in GTM4WP to catch when users interact with the pop-out cart. Here’s what you can do:

First, set up a trigger in GTM4WP that recognizes the actions users take when using the pop-out cart, like clicking on it or adding items.

Then, create a tag in GTM4WP that sends this information to Google Analytics whenever the trigger is activated.

    Niel,

Not sure what you mean by “create tag in GTM4WP”. There are no tags to create in the plugin. Just in Google Tag manager.

For instance, when I go to a cart page (without CartPops, just the WooCommerce cart page), it tracks everything – view/add/remove/update/etc along with the data (like product information added/removed). With CartPops, nothing happens. If I create a custom tag in Google Tag Manager I can fire a custom event when the user clicks a button like add to cart, but no additional information (like product info) gets added to the data layer. It also doesn’t track view/close/add/remove/etc.

    Hey there,

Google Tag Manager is not natively integrated with our plugin, which is why you need to create these events manually. There are JavaScript events such as drawer open that could assist you in integrating this functionality. The good news is that this process will be much simpler in version 2, which will track many more events. We will be launching a beta version soon.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best,

    Niel, Cartpops
