    hello

I can’t load the edit mode of the footer I have created
Is there any guide or things to try to fix “404 error” (it says)

I am guessing problem could be because I tried to modify things with another plugin (here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/replace-text-with-a-link-breaking-page/#new-topic-0 )

when trying the safe mode of elementor (debug), editing footer is not loading at all, it redirects to articles pages as if footer had disappeared (even though on the front it is working)

also, when editing in normal mode without elementor I can still access the footer to edit meta and stuff
here I can see all my revisions : should I try to do that ? (unfortunately there is no preview for each revisions)

thank you for any information that could help

    Hi

I have the same problem and I am not using that plugin. I have it on multiple sites and only on the current version of the plugin.

Solution I found is to duplicate the footer and then edit with elementor and trash the old one. But you have to do this everytime to need to make an edit.

    Hi @gerald-mardirossian,

Do you stil face the issue? If you do, please do the following. If the first step doesn’t help, please do the next one:

    1) Deactivate and reactivate this plugin
    2) Switch to a default WordPress theme and then switch back to your current theme

This issue is due to site and Elementor cache.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

I also noticed, while changing to draft, I could edit again…then I publish again….

No problem, @gerald-mardirossian! Happy can be a help.

Thanks for sharing your workaround here too.

Feel free to start a new thread if there’s anything else related to this plugin, we can help you with.

    Herman ??

    Hi,
I’m having the same issue mentioned above of not being able to edit the footer anymore, because Elementor editor is loading forever. I’m using latest versions of everything (WP, Elementor, EHFB, etc).

I tried the solutions offered by @bsfherman (i.e. deactivating and reactivating this plugin (EHFB), switching themes), but they didn’t work. I also tried re-saving the Permalinks and clearing all caches, but it didn’t work either.

    Today I tried the following:
    1) Changing the footer to Draft mode (via Quick Edit) –> Elementor editor did open up.
    2) Duplicating the footer –> Elementor editor did open up.

Hoping for a quick fix for this issue.
    Thank you.

    Hi @thwp,

Please refresh the Permalinks and it will fix the problem. If it doesn’t, as per the forum guidelines, please start your own topic. You are welcome to cross-link it to this thread, so we are aware of both.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
