    Hello,

    I wanted some help trying to understand the data coming from the Weekly Email Summaries. Using last week’s as an example:

    First of all, last week’s mails (which is the option on the right) says there has been 90.7% less mails than the previous week (? But the previous week, it says there has been 105 mails sent, which compared to the 95 from last week, it is not a downsize of 90.7%.

    Secondly, only today there has been nearly 100 mails sent through wordpress, so it is safe to assume last week there must have been more than 300 mails sent, which is vastly apart from the 95 the plugin counted.

    We don’t have the Pro version, only Lite. I don’t know if that could be causing the problems.

    I’ve only been using this great plugin for a few weeks but in my case the stats generated are not accurate either so I’ve disabled them – my weekly summaries always show that 0 emails have been sent in the previous week when hundreds have come through.

    Thank you for your patience.

    You are both correct, those values are very strange and should absolutely be accurate. This feature should be consistent across the lite and Pro versions of WP Mail SMTP.

    The weekly email summary in the lite version shows a summary of?all emails sent?from your website using the wp_mail()?function since you installed and set up the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

    So whenever your website executes the?wp_mail()?function, it will count towards the total. If an email isn’t being added towards the total then either the wp_mail()?function wasn’t called for that email or another plugin is taking precedence or conflicting with ours.

    Starting with @kreativamarketing as you mentioned, the number of sent emails is inaccurate especially since if I subtract the totals from your screenshots, 2871 emails were sent in one week. To determine what might have contributed to these strange values, when you get a chance can you confirm the following:

    • What mailer are you currently using?
    • Since you mentioned they were a week apart, can you confirm that you sent and possibly received 2000+ emails in one week?
    • Do you have a logging plugin enabled like WP Mail Logging for example? If not, are you using one of the transactional mailers that offer an email logging feature? If yes, does the number of logs match with the sent emails or the difference between the total emails for that date range?
    • What version of WP Mail SMTP are you currently using and are you only sending transactional emails or do you utilize any form of newsletter or marketing email plugins?

    @stevenjc I’m interested in learning more about your set up as well, but in keeping with www.ads-software.com guidelines, if you are open to me looking into this further can you create a thread of your own and share answers to the following questions?

    • What mailer are you currently using?
    • Do you have a logging plugin enabled like WP Mail Logging for example? If not, are you using one of the transactional mailers that offer an email logging feature? If yes, does the number of logs match with the sent emails or the difference between the total emails for that date range?
    • What version of WP Mail SMTP are you currently using and are you only sending transactional emails or do you utilize any form of newsletter or marketing email plugins?
