• So, I upgraded from 1.2.1 to 1.5, and I’m now having the following problem. I basically deleted all of the old files and completely replaced them with the new files. I initially thought I’d throw away all my old posts, and so set up the upgrade as a completely new install using a new database. Everything worked fine. I later regretted this, though, and decided to just change the config file to have the name, user, password, and host of my old database, in the hopes that I could recover all my old posts. I can access everything just fine from the admin tools, including seeing all of the old posts and comments, but when I actually go to the blog index.php page, it’s just a blank, white page. Any ideas why this is occurring, and how I can fix it? Thanks!

    Sincerely,

    Katie Shrieves

  • Try running upgrade.php if you haven’t already. Your old 1.2.2 database is probably incompatible with 1.5.

I have been having problems too… the only host option for loading in WordPress is v2.2 and I have done everything according to the directions deleting old uploading new …. but no luck I keep getting the message that there is something wrong with my wp-config.php file. I changed the database name and made sure I didnt delete the ‘ ‘ marks — same with the user name and password… copied everything onto my https://ftp.. refreshed.. and still nothing… still getting the same error… 3 hours later. Please help!
