Problem moving existing site to another server

    I have moved lots of websites, including WordPress-based around, including to new host and never got such issues as I am with a specific site, which I have also failed to create as a copy on Xampp on local PC.
    I have made several attempts using diverse FREE WordPress site transfer plugins, but all ended up in failure, either because the site data file size (over 1GB) exceeded what one can do with the free versions OR some errors of sort.
    I am trying again, manually, but this is also not working and getting very frustrating. Since current location as an additional domain and the new are Plesk-based, same host but different servers, it should actually not be a big deal. I used the Control panel tools to export the DB and create an archive of the data files. I created a new DB under new account and imported the copy + adjusted the login data to match imported site. I for the beginning want to create a copy under a subdomain abc.newsite.com for a quick test, though will move this to additional domain. I created a new domain, imported all files and adjusted DB login + in DB Options tabe the 2(?) site links to “abc.newsite.com”.
    When I try to access the site, in whichever browser, including after clearing cookies, I keep getting such errors:

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
    An error occurred during a connection to abc.newsite.com.
    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
    or

    This page isn’t working right now
    abc.newsite.com redirected you too many times.
    Try deleting your cookies.
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

    There has also been an implication one source of the error could be server configuration. What exactly could that mean? I made the sites in the root directories of both the current location and the targeted domain on another server + different account and generally both environments are roughly the same, is all I remember.

    I have tried deleting cookies, using a fresh .htaccess file all to no avail. The fact that a sample, simple htm /woof.html outside WordPress in the root directory also shows the same error above may suggest what could be wrong but what is it as I am not conversant with this?

    What am I getting wrong, which I suspect is basic, as I urgently need to move the site?

    Hi xprt007,
    I suspect you have issue between http and https. Disable https/ssl configuration from wp-config.php file or any plugin like Really simple ssl.
    You can try to implement following things:

    define( 'WP_CACHE', false );
define('WP_HOME','https://www.example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://www.example.com');
define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', false);
