• Hi

    I’m wondering if anyone could suggest some solutions to my problem. I’ve been working quite happily with my site over the past couple of weeks and suddenly noticed that my footer has disappeared. This has baffled me slightly as I haven’t been working in the files recently and haven’t installed any plugins which may have conflicted with the footer.

    I have replaced the footer.php file with the original in my root folder and it still doesn’t appear. Has anyone any suggestions to why it may have gone walk about.

    Thanks
    J-P

  • this can sometimes be caused by invalid code in one of the posts;
    or by a newly installed plugin.

    is the footer missing from all pages, i.e. front page, single posts, archives, etc.?

    a link to your site might help to illustrate your problem.

    Hi

    ooops sorry, yes, the url to my site is https://www.jadedeye.com The only plugin that I have installed recently is Akismet to control my spam and I have deactivated W3 Total Cache. The footer is missing on all pages, at first I thought it might have just been my index.php as I’ve done a lot of work on that, but that is not the case.

    Thanks

    do you have added some ‘tradedoubler’ script to the sidebar (widgets), after the ‘most popular’ tag cloud widget?

    the code below is the first thing not displayed anymore:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var uri = 'https://impgb.tradedoubler.com/imp?type(img)g(17377910)a(1874450)' + new String (Math.random()).substring (2, 11);
    document.write('<a href="https://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=23708&a=1874450&g=17377910" target="_BLANK"><img src="'+uri+'" border=0></a>');
    		</ul>

    the <script type="text/javascript"> tag is not closed.

    Hi

    Cool, thank you for your help

    Hello

    I might have a similar problem as jupperpeep. My footer and one of the sidebar widgets is missing on all browsers. As is some audio players from posts categorized ‘Feature’.

    The trouble began as I downloaded and installed Wibyia toolbar plug in for a try out. After deactivating and then deleting it the footer and the said widget never returned on the posts pages (including ‘Home’ page) as well as the audio players. Pages with no posts or widgets seem to be working fine.

    Im am clueless what action to take next to try and solve this.
    Appreciate any input. Thanks a bunch.
