• Subject: Urgent Help Needed – Scrolling Issue on WordPress Website

    Dear WordPress Support,

    I am writing to request urgent assistance with a critical issue I am experiencing on my WordPress website. While developing the site, I encountered a problem where the page scrolling functionality has completely stopped working. This prevents users from navigating through the content, significantly impacting the website’s usability.

    I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide guidance on troubleshooting this scrolling issue. I have been working diligently to resolve this problem myself, but haven’t been able to identify the cause.

    To assist with the diagnosis, I would be happy to provide any further information you may require, such as:

    • Specific details about the steps I was taking when the issue arose (if applicable).
    • Any error messages displayed in the browser console.
    • The theme and plugins currently active on my website.

    I understand that resolving technical problems can be time-consuming, and I am available to collaborate fully to get my website functioning properly again. A prompt response would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Mansha Jami

  • The problem only occurs in Chrome or in Chrome-based browsers. Not in Firefox, for example.

    The cause of the problem is the Portfolio Gallery plugin you are using, which provides an unfavorable CSS property. I see 2 possible solutions for you:

    a) You can contact the Portfolio Gallery support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/portfolio-filter-gallery/
    b) You add the following CSS code under Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS:

    html { scroll-behavior: unset !important }
