Excellent Support!!

I had an issue with my wp_options table growing to over 1.3 gb and the only thing I could see as the issue was a 7500 entries like _transient_tribe_views_v2_cache_d764c091076c:1684723412.9262_0. Since I saw “tribe” in the entries, I sent a support request to The Events Calendar. John Beacham answered my support ticket and not only walked me through installing the Transients Manager plugin, but also provided me with a SQL query and offered to actually set up a permanent solution on my staging site.

The Transients Manager did the trick, after I made a backup of the database, of course. The table went from 1.3 gb (and the host had disabled the table!) to 43.2 mb after running the Transients Manager.

I’ve used The Events Calendar on several of my clients for years and, while the knowledgebase is very helpful, having personal support and follow-ups saved my client (a municipality) from not being able to post notices for their community.
