Can’t restore back up files after update

  • I recently updated wordpress and discovered my data was missing. I then tried to restore the site from 2 days ago, however, instead of restoring to 6/4/24 it restored to an older back up from 2023. My hosting company have tried various methods with no luck.

    Please advise.

    What plugin did you use to manage your backups?

    If you were only trusting your hosting provider to keep backups, it sounds like they didn’t do a very good job keeping current backups, which is indeed something that can happen.
