I have several issues I’ve spent days trying to sort out to no avail:

    1. Background color for dropdown list (imported 145 “languages” dataset) is set (pink) & text to black, but still shows white on white, so it is illegible. (The same dataset for multiple choice is OK!) How do I fix this? (I set them in Preview: “Input & Textarea” + “Radio + Checklist Style”, but they remain white on white!)
    2. In multiple choice + dropdown lists I have 2 vertical scroll bars! Why? One is enough.
    3. I would settle for multiple choice + dropdown windows being 1 option only to avoid the double scrollbars, but I can’t find a setting for this. Is there one?
    4. How do I translate the Label names? (“Dropdown”, “Multiple choice” etc.)

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Please find your answers in the following:

    1. By default, browsers handle the styling of dropdown elements, including the background color of options. This means you may not be able to completely override the default style with CSS.
    2. Regarding the multiple choice scrollbars, can you please check if the issue is appearing from your theme by temporarily switching your theme to a default one?
    3. Can you please provide further details on this as I am not fully clear about the query?
    4. For dynamic text such as field labels, you can provide the translated strings directly from the form editor as shown in the screenshot. Also, you can translate the strings of Fluent Forms by using a translator plugin.

    Thank you

    Thanks Amimul.

    1. I solved this for the moment by avoiding Dropdowns & choosing Multiple Choice with 1 option allowed.
    2. (I’ll let you know. I intend to rewrite & replace the theme anyway.)
    3. I thought that with displayed options in Multiple Choice limited to 1, there would be no need for one of the toolbars. Otherwise if they all (11 items) display, then too, no need for scrollbars at all. But I can’t see if this can be set anywhere.
    4. In fact it’s not Labels but Input Fields that I want to translate for colleagues working in a different language.

(I have a few other glitches but if I can’t find solutions I’ll post another Q. Thanks for everything so far.)
